How to handle a cup
To handle nicely a cup of tea (or soup) is important in Japanese culture, a sign of culture and elegance, even if is not a tea ceremony, gesture are always important they express personality and sensuality. Photo taken in a restaurant in ambient (low) artificial light, with 85 mm. lens, and I expose for the light to obtain deep shadows to highlight the hands and the cup. I like the slightly blurred image and the black & white, in this case add feeling to the imge, is not an advertising photo, so do not need to be perfectly sharp and descriptive. Shoot in Tokyo with Nikon D3x on the 26th of December 2012.
